Christmas in our home

Christmas decorating, baking and crafting started several weeks ago and I finally compiled pictures from my phone to create a post.

Last weekend, the entire family came over to bake a few favorites…

My Dad was hard at work making delicious pizzelle cookies.

Christmas wouldn’t be complete without some spritz cookies.

This was a new recipe for us – red velvet cookies. Everyone loved them! You can find the recipe here.

I love Michael’s seasonal paper

Even the stove has it’s own Christmas touch

I enjoyed perusing the Christmas train collection at Michael’s. Their trees and miniature decorations seem to fit well on the mantle.

Our $.99 advent calendar from Trader Joe’s (we’re still kids at heart).

Trader Joe’s has the most beautiful, fresh wreaths AND they’re less then 6 bucks.

My favorite Christmas decoration – a REAL tree this year. It smells absolutely amazing and just the perfect tree for our house. Thank you Home Depot.

We’ve also been busy making some great gifts and stocking stuffers for family. I will post that shortly.

I had to post this picture of my sweet nephew. He’s just the cutest….

Hope everyone is having a relaxing couple of days leading up to Christmas!
